I’ve written about Valentine’s day before; how the one thing we do for each other is make homemade cards.  Plus a special breakfast. This year I had so much fun with my theme for Maarten and the kids:CIMG8534Mylo hugged me about ten times.  Thank you, Mama.  I love you Mama.  Thank you that you made me as fast as lightening.  He’s easy to please, that one.  Past years, the kids have skimmed over the heart-felt sentiments on the back of the cards in a rush to move on to the pancakes and whip cream.  But this year they read them carefully and we could see them soaking up the love we expressed for each of them.  They positively glowed, and that’s what it’s all about.  Plus Maarten really appreciated all the realistic details like his receding hairline.  True Love.
